Christmas Comes Early for SCHA and Solvent Brandworks
The SCHA Communications Team is celebrating Christmas early this year with a bevy of wins at the 2022 Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society (CHPRMS) Wallie and Golden Tusk Awards and a coveted Gold Telly Award. These awards recognize content created in 2021 to honor SCHA’s 100th birthday, chronicle SCHA’s response to the pandemic, and recognize the state’s healthcare workforce.
The CHPRMS Wallie and Golden Tusk Awards were hosted on December 1 in Charleston and recognize the best healthcare marketing and public relations work in North Carolina and South Carolina. The competition is open to hospitals, health systems, medical practices, and other healthcare organizations and creative agencies across the Southeast.
The Wallie Awards are given for individual, stand-alone entries, while the prestigious Golden Tusk Awards recognize overall campaigns with multiple pieces of supporting material. SCHA is also proud to have won the Best of Show Award, representing the finest piece of healthcare marketing and public relations across the Carolinas. In 2022, SCHA received six total awards for:
- Annual Report, 100 Years of Caring (Wallie)
- Online Social Media Campaign, 100 Faces of Healthcare (Golden Tusk)
- Internal Relations & Employee Recognition, 30 Days of Thanks (Golden Tusk)
- Special Event, A Better State of Health: 100 Years of SCHA (Golden Tusk)
- Issue/Crisis Management, Prepare, Mobilize, Respond, Recover: SCHA’s Response to COVID-19
- Best of Show, Prepare, Mobilize, Respond, Recover: SCHA’s Response to COVID-19
In addition to being recognized by our peers in North Carolina and South Carolina, SCHA and SC ETV received national recognition earlier this year with a distinguished Gold Telly Award for “A Better State of Health: 100 Years of the South Carolina Hospital Association” in the documentary category. With 12,000+ entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, only about 3% of all entries worldwide earn this prestigious gold honor. The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens around the world.
And none of this would have been possible without the support of Solvent Brandworks, the brand consulting practice of Solvent Networks, a division of SCHA. With more than 120 years of collective experience in branding and communications, Solvent Brandworks is a collaborative, idea-focused creative agency ready to address your marketing pain points. Solvent Brandworks was instrumental in leading the development of the COVID-19 journal and documentary for South Carolina’s hospital community.
