In addition to being a voice for our hospitals on policy and regulatory issues and supporting their patient safety and high reliability efforts, SCHA also has been a leader in health systems reaching outside their walls to help people in their community address deeply-rooted social and environmental factors that impact health outcomes. We recognize the complex social determinants that make a huge difference in the quality of people’s lives, and we work closely with other health partners to create and support programs aimed at making a difference in area like nutrition, housing, physical activity, education and more.
