Manager, Business Development
SUPERVISOR:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, healthcare or other related field, with 3-5 years of experience in business development, relationship building, board relations, project management, account management, budgeting, etc. Previous hospital experience or contacts preferred.
Should have excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, demonstrate ability to work collaboratively within and across teams, be able to manage multiple projects, extensive experience with project management and event planning. Extensive experience in Excel or other sales tracking software preferred.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to generate revenue through business partnerships, endorsements, marketing agreements, and corporate sponsorships. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing relationships with vendors and partners while supporting revenue growth initiatives aligned with member hospital needs.
The Manager will maintain and grow an existing portfolio of partnerships, identify new opportunities, and support the development and promotion of service lines. This position requires a highly organized, relationship-driven professional with strong communication skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable business opportunities.
DUTIES:
- Create and manage process to research, identify, vet, and onboard current or new Solvent Networks endorsed partners
- Track and report on revenue performance, pipeline activity, and partnership outcomes
- Manage expenses in coordination with the SCHA accounting team
- In coordination with other departments within SCHA, create marketing, recruitment and ongoing communications campaign for SCHA vendor partners
- Serve as day-to-day relationship manager for all SCHA vendor partners, ensuring strong relationships, performance, and ongoing engagement
- Represent Solvent Networks and SCHA in partner facing interactions or events
- In coordination with other departments within SCHA, coordinate and manage logistics of key member or vendor partner-related events
- In coordination with other departments within SCHA, monitor and update digital and web presence for SCHA vendor partners
- Collaborate with association leadership to develop vendor relationships with and engagement strategies for professional membership groups and/or with other health professional organizations
- Engage with member hospitals and other partners to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities by gathering and synthesizing feedback to inform potential partnerships and new business ideas
- Plan and conduct meetings (virtual and in-person) to build relationships and advance partnership opportunities
- Prepare reports, updates, or partner presentations for leadership and Board of Directors
- Serve as relationship manager to other state associations for-profit subsidiaries, the AHS group, or other similar networking groups
- Other duties as assigned
