Center of Excellence in Behavioral Health Nursing

Center of Excellence in Behavioral Health Nursing In September of 2025, the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) College of Nursing (CON) launched the Center of Excellence in Behavioral Health Nursing to address the growing demand for skilled behavioral health care professionals, and to further care by advancing education, research and practice in mental health. The Center will train future professionals, support new research, and expand access to care in communities that need it most. The center is committed to expanding access to behavioral health care for all individuals by leveraging telepsychiatry, integrating behavioral health into primary care and applying trauma-informed approaches to better serve communities most in need.
