New Toolbox Resources in Strategy for Wellbeing

Working Well wants to make it easier for organizations to create a best-practice wellbeing initiative. We are continually uploading new resources to Strategy for Wellbeing like case studies, implementation guides, sample policies, archived webinars and much more. Check out two of the most recent resources added to the Strategy for Wellbeing toolbox.

Workplace Wellbeing Evaluation Guide
Evaluating your employee wellbeing efforts can seem complicated and confusing. There are many ways to measure the impact of your program and many different opinions on the best methods to use. That’s why we’ve created a new Workplace Wellbeing Evaluation Guide to break down this seemingly complex process. This guide makes it easier to understand which evaluation methods could work best for your organization. It also explains the difference between ROI (return on investment), which is often considered the holy grail of workplace wellness evaluation, and the new buzz in the wellbeing industry around VOI (value on investment).

Employee Wellbeing Strategic Planning Guide
It is often said that, “a goal without a plan is just a wish.” In fact, did you know that 92% of New Year’s resolutions fail? Although they may have great intention, they lack strategy. The same is true for many employee wellbeing programs. Too many times we approach wellness like we are throwing spaghetti at a wall to see what sticks, rather than thinking through what we want to achieve and how to get there.

Creating a strategy is critical to the success of your employee wellbeing program because:
• It creates clarity and gets everyone moving in the same direction;
• It clearly defines the role of your wellness team and the goals you are working toward;
• It identifies and prioritizes steps needed to achieve your goals;
• It helps you track your progress and obtain results that can provide feedback for future improvements; and
• It positions your wellness initiative to support overall business goals.

Strategic planning can seem like a daunting, overwhelming and time-consuming task. This guide will break down the steps and walk you through a process to create your initiative’s core purpose, core values, vision statement, mission statement, goals and action steps. While you are at it, you should also check out our archived Working Well Webinar on “Creating a Meaningful and Effective Wellness Strategy.”
