Celebrating South Carolina Hospitals’ Success in Quality and Patient Safety
South Carolina hospitals have achieved remarkable success in quality and patient safety, reflecting the dedication and hard work of healthcare professionals across the state. This spring, 51 hospitals were ranked, with an impressive 24 receiving an ‘A’ grade from Leapfrog, showcasing their commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Nationally, South Carolina has made significant strides in improving its hospital safety scores. The state was ranked 5th among all states, tied with Virginia, demonstrating its leadership in healthcare quality. With 47.1% of its hospitals scoring an ‘A’ rating, South Carolina ranks 10th in the nation, a testament to the effectiveness of its statewide initiatives and the dedication of its healthcare professionals.
