Measles Outbreak 2025
As of Oct. 7, 2025, a total of ten measles cases in Spartanburg County have been reported to SC Department of Public Health, including seven within the past month that indicate a new outbreak of measles. This outbreak comes in a nation-wide surge in the disease, with a total of 1,544 confirmed measles cases reported across 41 states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There have been more than 40 outbreaks reported in 2025, and 86% of confirmed cases (1,333 of 1,544) are outbreak-associated.
SCHA is committed to supporting our members as they navigate this emerging challenge, and this page will serve as a landing page for a host of resources related to the current outbreak.
