Free NARCAN® Available from SC Department of Public Health Through 2025
The South Carolina Department of Public Health (SC DPH) has acquired a large supply of Narcan via grant funds received from the Centers for Disease & Control (CDC). The life-saving medication is available for hospital Emergency Departments (EDs) at discharge and at no cost to patients or caregivers who are at-risk for overdose outside of the hospital. Hospital EDs interested in receiving this Narcan should complete this form.
SC DPH will continue to offer Narcan to hospital EDs while the supply is still available. SC DPH is also looking into the possibility of distributing Narcan to SC EMS providers. Any questions can be directed to Laura Parks-Watson.
