A New Year, a New Decade and a New Brand for SCHA
It’s the year 2020, and SCHA has a new look, logo and communication strategy to better reflect the progressive, innovative work being done by the SCHA team, hospitals and our collaborators across the state. The new brand is more modern, bolder and forward-looking than the look initially created in the 1980s.
“The successful rebrand of Solvent Networks and Qualivis over the past two years caused us to rethink the SCHA brand and how we communicate and engage with members and other partners,” said CEO Thornton Kirby. “SCHA has evolved into a different organization, and we wanted a brand that more accurately captured our current and future role in helping improve health in South Carolina.”
By emphasizing the H, the new logo underscores the importance of the word “hospital” in SCHA’s name, while the forward slant suggests action and progress. Having the C slightly connect with the H recognizes SCHA’s role as a connector, convener and collaborator. The tagline captures the essential SCHA goal, which is improving health in South Carolina.
A shorter, streamlined statement of purpose establishes SCHA’s priorities and will help guide decision-making and strategic planning.
SCHA will lead South Carolina toward a better state of health by:
- Advocating for sound healthcare policies
- Innovating for positive change
- Collaborating with partners on common goals
- Accelerating ideas to actions
In addition to the new brand, SCHA revamped its website to make it easier for people to find the information they need, and in the weeks ahead will continue to enhance communications with members, partners and other stakeholders.
