SC ETV Documentary Celebrating SCHA Centennial to Premiere December 16
We’re excited to announce the debut of a special documentary created by SCETV that celebrates SCHA’s centennial and the history of hospitals in South Carolina!
“A Better State of Health: 100 Years of the South Carolina Hospital Association,” will premiere on the SCETV channel on Thursday, December 16 at 9 p.m., and will re-run on Sunday, December 19 at 6 p.m. It will also be shown on the South Carolina Channel on Monday, December 27 at 8 p.m., and on the ETV World Channel on Tuesday, December 28 at noon.
SCHA has been working with SCETV since this spring to chronicle our history, from the earliest original hospitals to our industry’s present-day position as champions of health in our communities. While the history of hospitals in our state is immense and complex, we wanted to capture the overarching theme of growth and improvement in care. We talked with hospital leaders whose facilities began with humble origins and grew along with the state, as well as to experts who could chart that growth on everything from mergers and consolidations to reducing racial health disparities.
We hope that you are able to catch an airing and join us in celebrating of our hospital community over the last 100 years, and we sincerely thank all of our member hospitals who contributed to the creation of this important document of our collective work.
