National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention, and crisis resources, along with best practices for professionals in the United States.
Lifeline counselors can help save lives by listening and counseling those experiencing a mental health crisis and offering services and resources as next steps.
The national hotline has experienced some technical issues with call rollovers in some states, including South Carolina; however, those issues have been resolved.
Refer anyone in crisis, thinking of suicide, and in need of support to call 988 or text the Crisis Text Line at HOME to 741741.
