Just Healthcare: Advancing Health Equity in Hospitals

SCHA’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council has scheduled time for hospital C-Suite leaders, including other hospital team members working on health equity, to interact with Dr. LaShawn McIver. Dr. McIver is the Director of the Office of Minority Health with CMS and will share information about the health equity pillar of their recently-released CMS strategic plan.  The meeting will also feature a presentation from the American Hospital Association, fascinating equity-stratified SC discharge data, and a panel discussion with our very own SC hospitals who are beginning to address equitable health care at their facilities. The meeting will be held on October 17, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.  Attendees will have the option to attend in-person (limited to 50 registrants at our new location 2000 Center Point Road, Columbia, SC 29210) or virtually.
