QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree required, and graduate education preferred
- 7+ years direct experience with complex healthcare data (relevant work experience in an analytical role)
- Experience analyzing large and small sets of qualitative and quantitative data, database structures, query and reporting tools as well as the ability to interpret and visualize complex data from multiple sources with attention to detail
- Must have proficient/expert use: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with programs such as Microsoft Power BI, Excel and Salesforce and/or Tableau is preferred
- Healthcare knowledge and understanding of how it impacts population health
- Knowledge and experience of building measures to create healthcare dashboards
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with executives, cross-functional teams and communities
- Comfortable and effective as a public speaker
- Proven ability to work independently in a self-directed manner
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data acquisition, manipulation, management, analysis, reporting of data sets from multiple data sources for Innovation Center initiatives and SCHA
- Produce, automate and publish periodic reports
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written) with ability to describe highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Work directly with SCHA staff, members, and partners to better understand issues related to SCHA’s scope of work and recommend and/or develop analysis plans
- Use statistical methods and business intelligence software to translate multiple data sources into an actionable plan and work with others (e.g., use data to tell a story connected to the bigger picture)
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Serve as data intermediary for multiple health initiatives, ensuring that data needs (collection, analysis, dissemination, reporting) are addressed
- Support the use of data for key project partners and workgroups and work with staff to respond to ad-hoc data requests and projects
- Provide education, training and technical assistance to key individuals on the interpretation and use of measurement and monitoring tools
- Coach community members on the development of infographics and data visualization reports with easy-to-use tools such as PowerPoint or free online services
- Develop dynamic tables, infographics and automatic data visualization reports
- Create and improve data summaries, static and live dashboards, easy-to-query data sets, maps and individualized automatic reports originating in excel or access
- Serve as a liaison for the data team and identify opportunities to leverage resources in order to increase value in SCHA products
